Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine factors detering commission merchants’ transactions with multiple wholesale companies in Garak market using a survey analysis. The results measured by the Likert scale show that the costs and benefits perceived by the merchants from multiple transactions are about the same. Specifically, the commission merchants recognize that the additional labor cost is the highest among cost factors and the broadened purchase opportunity is the highest among benefit factors. The results also indicate that benefits from multiple transactions perceived by experienced merchants are higher than those by unexperienced merchants. The more frequent and longer experience in multiple transactions results in higher perceived benefits compared to costs. We suggest three means to activate the multiple transactions.
