- Abstract
- 단동에서 실천되는 삼국(북한, 중국, 한국)의 만남과 네 집단(북한사람, 북한화교, 조선족, 한국사람) 사람들의 경제 활동은 구체적으로 드러나지 않는다. 오히려 삼국이 연결된 무역 활동이 한·중 혹은 중·조 무역으로만 간주되고 있다. 하지만 단동페리는 한·중 간의 무역뿐만 아니라, 중조우의교와 연결되어 북한을 포함한 삼국 무역의 한 부분을 수행하고 있다. 그 결과 단동은 삼국의 만남의 현장이자 중심으로 자리를 잡았고, 삼국의 유통 흐름은 네 집단이 있기 때문에 활성화 되고 있다. 그들은 경의선 통과가 상징하는 두 국경과 관련된 넘나들기의 내용과 역할을 단동에서 실천하고 있다. 이러한 정황들을 고려하면, 연구자들이 예견하는 것과 달리 단동에서 삼국의 만남과 연결은 미래형이 아니고 현재 진행형이고 최소한 1990년대 초반부터의 단동의 모습이다. 따라서 북한에 대한 중국과 한국의 경제적 관계가 중·조 무역과 남·북 경협(무역)이라는 각각의 장에서 이루어지고 있다는 시각과 분석들에 대한 재해석이 요구된다.
