This paper sorts out the errors commonly made by Korean students in using the Chinese auxiliary verbs ‘neng’ and ‘hui’ and proposes that these errors fall mainly into two categories: 1. omission to use the auxiliary verb(s); 2.misuse of the auxiliary verb(s). ‘Omission to use’ applies to the cases in which the students missed to use ‘neng’ or ‘hui’ when they should, while ‘misuse’ refers to the facts that the students use the auxiliary verb B when they ought to use the auxiliary verb A. Based on the sorting out and analysis of such errors, this paper goes further to analyze the reasons for these errors and suggest some correspondent countermeasures.-
