dc.description.abstractIn mobile voice over IP (VoIP) systems, user mobility leads to the increased call setup latency to find out the current location of user, which has a negative impact on users call quality. In this letter, we propose a prefetching technique for user location to reduce the call setup latency. We develop an analytical model and investigate the impacts of mobility parameters and thresholds.-
