- 이 논문에서 우리는 힐베르트의 저서‘기하학의 기초’에 관한 여러 문헌들을 소개하고‘기하학의 기초’의 내용을 간략하게 살펴본다. 그리고 1902년에 발행된 (독일어) 초판 영문번역과 1971년에 발행된 (독일어) 10판 영문번역의 내용과 용어 및 표현에 어떤 변화가있는지 살펴보고 이런 변화가 외국어 수학고전을 우리말로 옮기거나 우리말 수학도서를저술하는 일에 대하여 시사하는 바를 논한다.
