- Abstract
- Abdominal aortic aneurysms occasionally occur concomitantly with an intracranial artery aneurysm (ICA). The association of an ICA with a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA) is relatively rare. A patient with this condition is presented. Coiling of the ICA was not an option preoperatively because of the dissected false lumen of the TAAA, rendering a femoral artery approach impossible. The TAAA was repaired during deep hypothermic circulatory arrest. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
