In 19 century, western school was established by British-American missionaries in Korea. This school was based on christian thought. Those are Ewha woman college, Sungsil university, Yoenhee college, Hyeopseong woman divinity school. Those school's students't association made school magazine by different time. This study was concentrated on the ceremony of death which is found in this school magazine's literature. Until the beginning of 19th century, Korea had been affected on Confucianism and Buddhism, Shamanism. Death recognition of those religions had the topics- extinction, grief, fear, suffering. Most of literature dealt with traditional death in the christianity school literature. But existing literary circles overcome traditional recognition of death and try to understand the death to good experience. That is the death of image scapegoat. In those days students give a great deal of weight to behavior for their country which groan under Japan colonial policy. And they begin to understand that they die for liberation of their country. that is scapegoat, which is the ceremony of death being based on recognition which they have salvation through Jesus christ's death. So death is sacrifice of the times and a transitional period which advance to the new recognition of death that is to have new days. We can find the work of scapegoat image in the christian school magazine. It is very important meaning which is related to establishing the school by christian thought.-
