The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of combined exercise on inflammatory markers and hormones relevant to obesity in the blood plasma. We recruited middle aged obese women who exercised yoga for stretching, running for aerobic exercise, weight training for resistant exercise during 12weeks. This exercise program differently progressed by the day in every week. 24 different types of yoga posture were used in exercising yoga. 55~75% of HRmax was used as exercise intensity in aerobic exercise. 55~75% of 1RM was used as exercise intensity in resistant exercise with 9 different types of activity. All exercise program lasted for a hour. Inflammatory markers(CRP, TNF-α) and obesity-related hormones(leptin, adiponectin) within the blood plasma extracted at the beginning of exercise, 6 weeks and 12 weeks after beginning exercise were analysed. CRP, TNF-α decreased at 12 week, comparing to those at the beginning of exercise, but were not statistically significant. Leptin decreased and adiponectin increased significantly at 12 week, compared to those at the beginning of exercise(p < .05). As resulted in, combined exercise could positively affect inflammatory markers and hormones relevant to obesity in blood plasma. To get a better strength on effects of exercise, further study is needed following different type, intensity of exercise, ages, genders, diets, life patterns.-
