- Abstract
- A tunable triangular microstrip patch antenna is proposed for multiband applications in this letter. The proposed antenna consists of varactor diodes and F-shaped slits. As the input impedance of the antenna can be varied by changing the bias voltage of the varactor diode on the F-shaped slits, the resonant frequency may be changed. The designed antenna has return losses better than 20 dB within 1.95-2.16 GHz. The peak gains of the antenna present 2.87 and 3.1 dBi at the both ends of the above frequency range. Details of the antenna design are described. Its performances are also presented. (C) 2009 Wiley Periodicals. Inc.
