dc.description.abstracto-Carboranyl aminoalcohols were synthesized using a standard Mannich reaction, and were tested for their anticancer properties using an in vitro test for CT26 cancer cells. The polar periphery of the aminoalcohols benefited from the high boron uptake in CT26 cancer cells with low toxicity, indicating their potential as BNCT agents. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
