- Abstract
- Marks used in point-attached kugyol can be classified into 5 major types chiefly by means of their functions. TypeⅠ - to clarify position of kugyol point : ‘border line’, ‘division line’. TypeⅡ - to indicate duplicationofkugyol points : ‘duplication line’. TypeⅢ - to indicate that certain kugyol point(s) could not be attached to expectative letter : ‘indicating line’, ‘linking line’. TypeⅥ - to make better understanding of syntactic structure : ‘binding line’, ‘inverse reading line’, ‘B&I line’, ‘verb-object line’, ‘supplementing line’. TypeⅤ - to indicate correction or note on original Chinese script or kugyol points : ‘matrix line’, ‘deleting line’, ‘correction mark’, ‘kugyol character’, ‘Chinese character’. And the others - of which their functions are not known yet : ‘ppichim line’, ‘attention paper’, ‘the unknown’.
