The Purpose of this study is to look into the artistic role of music in the times of Divine Centralism. In examining it closely, I approached the task on four levels. The first level is on the problems about the notion of “the times of Divine centralism”, what kind of arts in the times of Divine centralism the most typical art was, and what the reason why music became the most typical art was. The second level is about the reason why the music makes ones enjoyable. The third is about the reason why the modern classic of music can not be superior to the classical music of Beethoven's days. The fourth level is about the role of words in music. The notion of “the times of Divine Centralism" can be defined as the time when man tried to solve the problem of their lives in terms of the Divine because he was aware that the Divine created man and his world. The Period of “the times of Divine Centralism” can be from the beginning of human history to the times of Renaissance or around that time when man began to use the therm of “humanism”. The most typical art at that period was music. The reason why music could be the most typical art is that music was considered as the device to connect man's sole or heart with the Divine or the Universe. The third level is about what the essence of music is. The elements of music are harmony, rhythm, and melody. Harmony is connected with the high of sounds which are recognized by the way of the experiential unit of sounds what we call integral numbers. The essence of harmony in music is in the integrality or the integration. Rhythm is connected with the length of sounds. It cannot be called the unit of repetition in sounds. Melody is the style of sound streams. what kind of roles do they perform when we appreciate music? Each of them connects man's sole to his world by reminding him of his experiential world. The fourth level is connected with metaphysics. Musicians in the days of Classicalism and Romanticism thought that music was the device of which connects man's sole to mataphysical world. But since the days of Realism following to Romanticism they have not believe in the mataphysical world, so that music could not perform its innate role which was to connect man's sole to mataphysical world. As the above reason, the music of the Beethoven's days could not be the typical Style of modern music. The role of words in music which the last level suggests to us is to help the elements of music such as harmonys, rhythms, and melodies to remind appreciators of their experiential world. The artistic roles of music is said to give the pleasure to man by having his sole connect to the rythems of his body and human society or them of his natural and universal world.-
