dc.description.abstract | 『노자』의 自然 개념의 함의를 새롭게 고찰한 이 논문은 기존의 견해들을 비판적으로 검토하면서 『노자』의 自然 개념이 多層的 의미를 지니며 그 다층적 함의들이 서로 모순되지 않는다는 것을 논증하고 있다. ‘무엇’의 ‘상태나 속성’을 나타내는 서술어인 『노자』의 自然 개념은 다양한 층차에서 사용된다. 우선 ‘무엇’에 초점을 두어 말하자면, 그 ‘무엇’이 지칭하는 바가 ‘만물’일 경우도 있고, ‘백성’일 경우도 있고, ‘군주의 불언’일 경우도 있고, ‘도·덕의 존귀함’일 경우도 있다. 그리고 ‘상태나 속성’에 초점을 두어 말하자면, 그것은 ‘스스로 그러하다’와 ‘본래 그러하다’는 자발성과 본래성의 의미를 겸유하는 경우도 있고, ‘스스로 그러하다’는 자발성의 의미가 강조되는 경우도 있으며, ‘본래 그러하다’는 본래성의 의미가 강조되는 경우도 있다. 그러나 이처럼 『노자』의 自然의 구체적 의미가 맥락에 따라 다르다고 해서 그것들이 함축하고 있는 우주론적·정치론적 함의들이 서로 충돌하거나 모순되는 것은 아니며 하나의 일관된 사상 체계 내에 위치하고 있다 | - |
