dc.description.abstract | We have developed a shipment consolidation policy with pricing discounts to maximize profits for a quantity based shipment consolidation model. A mathematical model is developed and an efficient algorithm is provided to obtain the optimal pricing and shipment quantities. The solution procedure is illustrated using a numerical example. The performance of the policy with the parameters obtained from the proposed algorithm is then compared with the quantity-based dispatch policy without dynamic pricing. The results show the robust performance of the proposed algorithm. | - |
