The objects of this article are analyzing the poetical works of ‘Jayeonsong(the eulogy on the nature)’ by Hwang–Sokwoo and understanding the poems of his middle works on the logic of his poetic attitude. In his early works, Hwang argued that the essence of poetry is the severance of relation with everyday language and the resistance to conventional standard is the staring point of the modern poetry. Especially his argument of that the emotion is not the object of control but the object of serious attention. It is estimative advance of the early modern poetry in 1910's Korea. He argued that poetic words in modern poem must be discovered by attention to inner side of his consciousness not by logical construction. In his middle works, he showed remarkable change of poetic words and methods of speaking. In ‘Jayeonsong’, he focused not on individual but on public, not on the problem of inner side of private person but on the problem of reception of social reality. The Nature in ‘Jayeonsong’ meant imaginary reality as alternative of real world in the voretex of worldwar and colonization. In conclusion, Hwang proposed the new way of accepting the real world by idealized images and symbols of the Nature based on the concept of utopianism and anarchism. The aesthetic attitude of Hwang was different from the Nationalism and Socialism of the 1920’s korean literary trends.-
