- Abstract
- To investigate the through the holding Yeosu EXPO 2012, this study adapted the document survey method focusing on the former research data about the international and domestic marine sports related to the aim of study. About the matter of governmental strategy and rules about Yeosu marine EXPO, we referred to the documents from the government, and we directly interviewed the experts or collected the data by the Internet.
Possible strategy for the growth of marine leisure sports may be suggested by the SWOT analysis after holding the Yeosu Expo 2012.
First, Through the Yeosu Expo 2012, new items for the marine leisure sports has to be introduced, also try to designate the special area for marine leisure sports.
Second, It is requested to expand the chances advertising marine sports industries through the exhibition booths, also to set up the device to support the growth of this industry, for example tax benefits.
Third, it is required to train the professional man power through the professional education institute, and to develope programs and information networks for popularization of marine sports. By this kinds of efforts, basement for the city of marine leisure sports can be settled down.
Finally, it is requested to discuss the post EXPO strategy, and the local association or federation should be grown to maintain the maine leisure sports in this city after EXPO.
