dc.description.abstract | The objectives of studies have been researched for affection of the muscle activity and fatigue for vertical jumping on Kinesio taping the lower limbs. Eleven healthy university students in the Department of Sport and Leisure Studies at ChoongNam were screened, and individuals with a history of previous injury or surgery in their nerve, muscle, and skeletal systems, such as paresthesia and motor disorder, were excluded from this study. Subjects were taped over rectus femorise, hamstring, tensor fasciae latae, sartus, patella, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius. Stability of Ankles taping apply to figure eight and heel lock. The changes in the muscle activity and fatigue for vertical jumping measured before and after taping using sEMG and vertical jumping height measured on a vertical jumping meta(TKK5106, Japan). Experimental data in terms of changes in the muscle activity and fatigue for vertical jumping height before and after taping were compared with the average (M) and standard deviation (SD) for each parameter using statistical package, SPSS 12.0. All statistical analyses were performed using Paired Samples t-test at a preset level of significance of α=.05. The results of this study were as follows; Muscle activity, fatigue and vertical jump ability can be improved by Kinesio taping at the lower limbs. | - |
