Abstract
Recently, the ratio of renewable energy sources in the distribution system has been increased in order to address the problems of environmental pollution and fossil fuel depletion. However, the growth of renewable energy sources in the distribution system can cause various issues such as load unbalance, reverse power flow and power system instability. Therefore, in this paper, mathematical modeling of main components of distribution system was performed in both the frequency domain and the time domain. The results of mathematical modeling were verified by using MATLAB/Simulink and OpenDSS.
