| dc.description.abstract | 16세기말에 시작된 마닐라-아카풀코 갤리언 무역으로 인해 화교를 비롯한 아시아인들의 신대륙 이주가 시작되었다. 19세기에 들어와 산업자본주의의 발달과 이에 따른 국제노동시장 구조의 재편으로 값싼 아시아 노동력에 대한 수요가 발생하면서 화교 및 일본인 계약노동자들이 라틴아메리카로 이주하였으며, 20세기 초에 한인들이 그 뒤를 이었다. 1962년에 해외이민법이 제정되면서 한인들의 라틴아메리카 농업이민이 시작되었지만 실패로 끝나게 되고, 이들 대부분은 도시로 이주하여 의류업에 종사하게 된다. 1980년 중반 이후 집단이민에서 개인이민의 형태로 바뀐 한인들의 라틴아메리카 이주는 21세기 들어와 부상하는 중국의 영향력 및 한류의 영향으로 새로운 전기를 맞고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 화교, 일본인 및 한인들의 라틴아메리카 디아스포라에 대해 비교·고찰하고, 이들과 현지사회와의 갈등 및 현지적응 등에 대해 분석하도록 한다. | - |
