The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among autonomy support, tripartite efficacy, and autonomous motivation to participate in Pilates program. Specifically, we tested the mediating role of tripartite efficacy in the relationship between autonomy support and autonomous motivation in Pilates program. Adult participants in Pilates program were asked to complete the pack of questionnaire. To test the relations among autonomy support, tripartite efficacy, and autonomous motivation, we conducted correlation analysis, mainly the multiple regression analysis. The results showed that autonomy support was positively associated with tripartite efficacy (i.e., self-efficacy, other efficacy, and RISE) and autonomous motivation to participate in Pilates. Instructor autonomy support positively predicted adult participants' autonomous motivation in both direct and indirect ways. In testing mediating role of tripartite efficacy, two mediators (i.e., self-efficacy, RISE) mediated the relationship between autonomy support and autonomous motivation, while other efficacy was not significant mediator in the relation between autonomy support and autonomous motivation. The findings concluded that instructor autonomy support was the significant predictor of adult participants' autonomous motivation in Pilates program. Autonomy support was important for instructors to motivate adults to engage in Pilates as it is able to increase adults' self-efficacy and RISE. We discuss about the findings and its implication in discussion.-
