- Abstract
- This study reports the effect of light-exposure timing on the polymerization results of the dental dual-cured resin cement using multiple measurements over time. Specimens were light-polymerized at 5 different delayed time points after mixing the materials: immediate (1 min), 10 min, 30 min, 60 min, and 2 weeks. The degree of conversion (DC) measurement with infrared spectroscopy (IR) measurements and surface hardness test with Vickers diamond indenter was performed. The group that underwent immediate light-curing showed statistically lower DC at 2 weeks compared to groups with provided longer delay time in light-curing. (p < 0.05). [GRAPHICS] .
