| dc.description.abstract | 한 국가의 국어는 그것을 사용하는 사람들 간의 유대감과 동질감을 불러옴과 동시에 그들 간의 언어 공동체 의식을 싹트게 함으로써 국가의 통합을 유지시키는데 필수불가결한 요소 중 하나이다. 하지만 백 개 이상의 지역 방언이 존재하는 필리핀에서 어떤 언어를 공용어 및 교육언어(language of instruction)로 정하느냐의 문제는 식민잔재청산 및 국가정체성 확립과 직접적으로 연결되는 매우 민감한 문제이다. 특히 필리핀은 언어정책 및 국가정체성의 문제가 타갈로그어권과 기타 지역의 대립 및 영어 헤게모니에 대한 반발과 맞물리며 오랜 기간 내부적인 갈등을 빚어왔다. 이에 본 논문에서는 필리핀 국어에 대한 논쟁이 어떻게 진행되어 왔으며 오늘날 국가정체성을 확립하기 위한 언어정책이 어떻게 변화하였는지를 타갈로그어, 필리피노, 영어, 스페인어를 중심으로 고찰하고자 한다. | - |
