Abstract
This research explores how information technology asset help improve individual and organizational performance in a public agency. The potential of IT investment, which is to make public organizations more efficient, effective, and responsible through IT systems, has not been sufficiently addressed in public agencies. As a result, despite huge investment in IT over many years, substantial evaluation accrued to the work, such as process innovation and work efficiency, have not actually occurred. Drawing insights from Delone and Mclean’s information systems success model, we created a conceptual framework that explains the process of creating performance impact by IT investment in a public agency. Data analysis finds that system quality, service quality, information quality significantly improve individual task performance, which, in turn, is translated into organizational performance. Additionally, information sharing requirements are found to facilitate organizational performance.
