- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to explore how to overcome the problem of duplication ofsimilar programs in lifelong education environments and to evaluate independent resources andeducational missions of institutions. For this purpose, case study on library with outstandingachievements was conducted. As a result, the characteristics of unique learning and the possibilityof learning creation in a small library that has been growing in the local community in recentyears were explored. This study analyzed the program contents of the small library in Soksugol, and reviewed the educational policy and practice of its planners. As a result, this small libraryprovides the contextual learning that is suited to the needs of the community by utilizing theunique resources of the library's collection and its ability to promote literacy. Specifically, byutilizing the unique resources of books as a means of creating learning for small libraries, ‛valueexpansion' such as the growth of child learners, strengthening guidance capacity among adultlearners, and solidifying the culture of local community was realized.
