- Abstract
- This study aims to explore the influence of psychological empowerment(PE), the level of a user’s relative position and awareness of audit on information security policy(ISP) compliance intention and the moderating role of PE. We test the proposed structural model with research hypotheses using non-linear partial least square test tool, WarpPLS 5.0.
The results are summarized as follows. 1) Psychological empowerment positively affects intention to comply with ISP; 2) The level of a user’s relative position negatively affects intention to comply with ISP; 3) Awareness of audit positively affects compliance with information security policy intention; 4) PE has a moderating effect on the links between position and awareness of audit and between position and compliance intention.
