- Abstract
- A new powdery mildew species of Erysiphe sect. Microsphaera, collected on three species of Magnolia, is here described, illustrated, and named as E. magnoliicola sp. nov. Introduction of a new species is supported by phylogenetic analyses of ITS and 28S rDNA of Korean and Japanese collections of this fungus. A comparison of and a synoptic key to the four species of Erysiphe sect. Microsphaera known on Magnolia spp. are provided.
