초록

Warm rolling of Zr-based bulk metallic glass (BMG) alloy was carried out in the supercooled liquid region (SLR) to produce thin strips of BMG alloy. Warm-rolling caused a change in the mechanical properties of the BMG alloy. Rolling deformation up to a 50% thickness reduction led to an increase in fracture strength of the BMG alloy at room temperature. This increase in strength of the warm-rolled samples was attributed to a decrease in the free volume with deformation. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
