한중일 관세 및 비관세장벽과 주요산업의 국제경쟁력에 관한 연구

초록
The objective of this study is to study and analyze the tariffs and non-tariff trade barriers, the international competitiveness and its effects on international trade in three countries; Korea, China and Japan. The major findings of the research are in the following;First, If we compare the levels of overall tariffs in three countries, China is the highest, Korea is next and Japan is the lowest; In manufacturing sector, Korea(6.6%), China(8.7%) and Japan(2.6%) while in agricultural sector, Korea(49.0%), China(15.6%) and Japan(23.6%) while in agricultural sector. Second, the special features of non-tariff barriers of three countries can be summarized as follows. Korea has a significant level of non-tariff barriers in the forms of direct import regulation, industrial policy regulation etc. China still maintains a very significant level of non-tariff barriers as the volume of international trade is increasing and it opens its market to foreign countries. The special features of Japanese non-tariff barriers can be found in its system, trading habits and logistics. Finally, the results of analysis in international trade structure and competitiveness are as follow. Overall, the volume of international trade of China is increasing significantly while the of Japan is decreasing and the trade volume of Korea is gradually increasing. In terms of competitiveness of trade in 9 industries, the difference in competitiveness of trade in 9 industries is decreasing among three countries. Especially, the RCA indices in the U.S. market are very similar among the three countries.
