サヴァイヴのためのヴァリアント ― 村田沙耶香「丸の内魔法少女ミラクリーナ」における改稿と混在する生活史 ―

This paper compares variants across the first publication, book, and paperback editions of Murata Sayaka’s Marunouchi Magical Girl Miraclina to examine how revision reorganizes characters, relationships, objects, and memories. From the first publication to the book edition, terms such as “thirty-something office lady,” “loser boyfriend,” and “lovers’ quarrel” recede, while labor, domination within intimate relationships, and memories of friends Rina could not save emerge. Masashi joins the magical-girl play as the “second Magical Reimy,” but redirects it toward monitoring, controlling, and punishing others. Drawing on Michel de Certeau’s concepts of strategy and tactics, the paper reads Rina’s play as a tactic of reusing existing spaces and objects for survival, whereas Masashi treats the station as a quasi-“proper place” for control. Book-to-paperback revisions are more limited, replacing brand and product names and prices while changing “inside the bag” to “the bottom of the bag.” These variants reconnect objects to later consumer culture, while objects and memories from different periods coexist in the present. The paper thus shows magical-girl play rewritten not as a return to girlhood but as a form through which Rina carries a life history marked by failure and uncertain judgment, together with accumulated objects, into the present.
