Wide-bandgap (WBG) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are crucial for the performance of all-perovskite tandem solar cells (TSCs) as the top cell. However, the high bromine content in WBG perovskites causes increased defect density and severe photoinduced phase segregation. These issues result in significant open-circuit voltage loss (VOC) and poor long-term stability performance, presenting substantial challenges for WBG PSC applications. To tackle these problems, we introduced glycine hydrochloride (GlyHCl) as an additive in the precursor solution of WBG perovskites. The –COO– group in GlyHCl forms a coordination complex with uncoordinated Pb2+ in the perovskite, while the –NH2 group interacts with halide ions, suppressing photoinduced halide segregation. Consequently, we achieved a 1.32 V VOC and an 18.86 % power conversion efficiency (PCE) in 1.78 eV WBG PSCs. These results highlight the potential of GlyHCl as a promising additive to improve the properties and Stability of WBG PSCs. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
