문화적 실천으로서 독일의 정치교육 혹은 민주시민교육 - 제도적 이상과 현실

초록

Politische Bildung(Civic Education) in Germany has been recognized as a good model for Korea. It has greatly contributed to building a civic political culture and strengthening democracy in Germany. Its biggest advantage is that it is, based on a pluralistic structure, performed in an organic linkage with various political institutions. Today, however, Politische Bildung in Germany has financial problems, and is even confronted with the survival problem. Furthermore, the educational subjects has no special interest in it. Politische Bildung has to respond to the modernization of education by which it should provide practical education program. Despite the many challenges and problems facing the German Politische Bildung, it can give provide many implications for Korea which has now unsolved problems of democratization. Activation of Politische Bildung or Civic Education in Korea will play a important role in fostering the public mind and forming a democratic political culture.
