초등 KSL 학습자를 위한 스토리 기반 어휘 학습 콘텐츠 개발 연구

초록

This study aims to delineate the design and development process of preparatory vocabulary learning content for lower-grade immigrant elementary students on ｢Modeu-ui Korean｣, an online platform provided by KERIS. After analyzing existing KSL textbooks and materials, the study established development directions and designed a 50-lesson syllabus and learning flow. The prototype and scripts were further refined through feedback from experts and field practitioners. The resulting content applies a story-based structure centered on school life, incorporating interactive activities, multimodal input, multilingual support, and voice recognition functions. Specifically, the content enables learners to become protagonists of a narrative to experience daily school life, helping them acquire vocabulary naturally in context instead of through rote memorization. Additionally, AI voice recognition and interactive tasks encourage students to produce language actively, ensuring effective and motivated self-paced study. This study is significant in that it specifies the preparatory stage to bridge gaps in the existing curriculum and suggests a framework for story-based vocabulary acquisition. Furthermore, it proposes that vocabulary learning is most effective when integrated with real-life contexts and emphasizes the importance of interactive and repetitive digital learning structures.
