≪經典釋文≫의 徐邈 音注에 반영된 入聲韻 음운 체계

초록

This study reconstructs Rusheng(入聲) phonology as reflected in Xu Miao(徐邈)’s sound glosses in the Jingdian Shiwen(≪經典釋文≫). His glosses employ fanqie spellings(反切法) and direct phonetic notations(直音法), which reflect the phonological features of a transitional stage between Old Chinese(OC) and Middle Chinese(MC). To establish his phonological system, this study refers to Zheng-Zhang Shangfang(鄭張尙芳)’s reconstructions of MC and OC, with only slight modifications. This study finds that Rusheng phonology has generally acquired the phonological categories and features of MC, except in the following cases: The 1st division Wu rime(屋₁韻) in the Tong rime group(通攝) exhibits transitional characteristics from OC to MC. In the Zhen rime group(臻攝), although the Mo rime(沒韻) had already formed an Middle Chinese category, it is unclear whether its phonological system had approached that of Middle Chinese. Only the velar initials of the Xue rime(薛韻) in the Shan rime group(山攝) retain an OC feature. For the Zeng rime group(曾攝) group rimes, although no sound glosses exist, it is assumed that their vowels remain stable throughout the transition from OC to MC. Xu’s phonology generally demonstrates proximity to MC while certain features still reflect OC origins. His system exhibits features of a slightly later period than Guo Pu(郭璞)’s though the distinction between the two is not clear-cut. This observation is consistent with Xu’s later chronological placement.
