Kim, Yupum. 2011. 11. Syntacticity and The Typical Change of Compounds. Korean Linguistics 53, 119-143. The main focus of this paper is on considering the typical change of compounds in conformity with the change of syntacticity. Before getting to the point I examined the properties of syntacticity as well as the concept of asyntactic compound and its types. The primary contents are as follows: ⅰ)Syntacticity must be checked in the dimension of not only parts of speech but also relevant morphemes. ⅱ) Syntacticity could change as time goes by and judgement about syntacticity of compounds should be based on synchronic syntactic construction at that time. ⅲ) the concept of asyntactic compound is to be rebuilt: the compound in which morphemes show a different syntactic aspect not found in the synchronic syntactic construction at that time. ⅳ) the result of judgement about syntacticity of the same compound could change with time, judging syntacticity of the compound by standards of synchronic syntactic construction.
