Actual Investigation for Body Composition and Bone mineral Density in a low-weight Women's 20s

초록

In this study, confirmed that the rest 100 students in their 20s occupied 48% in osteopenia and osteoporosis. To be specific, a more serious degree of osteopenia was manifested in a low weight group than in the counterpart: Based on BMI, 45 out of 50 with low weight showed the level inferior to BMI 19.9kg/m2 while 45 out of 50 with normal weight showed the level less than 20-25kg/m2. 1. Among 100 female college students in their 20s, 50 of them were underweight and 29 (58%) were found to have osteopenia. 2. Significant differences are seen between the two groups in fat mass, muscle mass, fat percentage, and body fat percentage, including the similar composition of the underweight group and the small body weight group. 3. Regarding muscle mass by region, the underweight group had lower outer spine muscle mass by 4%, spine leg muscle mass by 9%, outer leg muscle mass by 9%, total leg muscle mass by 8%, and total joint muscle mass by 7% than the stable weight group, between the two groups. The visible appearance means. 4. The fat amount by region in the underweight group was 15% higher in left leg fat, 31% in left torso fat, 16% in right leg fat, and 32% higher in total torso fat than in the normal weight group, with significant differences between the two groups. 5. Looking at the difference in bone density by region between the underweight group and the normal weight group, the overall arm bone density was low at 28%, lumbar bone density at 9%, femur bone density at 7%, and whole body bone density at 9%, with significant differences between the two groups. 6. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the areas with the highest correlation with lumbar bone density in the underweight group were right trunk muscle mass, right trunk fat mass, and total trunk muscle mass, and the areas with the highest correlation with femoral bone density were right leg muscle mass and left leg muscle mass. Since the simple measurement of bone density can be directly connected with treatment and prevention of bone diseases such as osteopenia and osteoporosis, the study making a detailed analysis of bone density and body composition of women in their 20s with low weight will be able to provide basic materials for effective exercise treatment for the field application which can help prevent osteopenia and improve bone density.
