This study explores the socio-economic impact of hydrogen-integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging systems and their contribution in achieving net-zero emissions. Bibliometric analysis reveals rapid growth in research since 2020, with China and the United States leading in publications and citations. Keyword analysis highlights hydrogen storage, fuel cell vehicles, smart energy management, and renewable integration, while equity, policy coherence, and public acceptance remain underexplored. Thematic synthesis addresses lifecycle economic viability, equity and accessibility, stakeholder impacts, policy frameworks, and investment strategies. Literature indicates that renewable-powered hydrogen systems reduce lifecycle carbon emissions by 70-90 % and enhance grid flexibility through bidirectional EV charging and long-duration hydrogen storage. Pilot studies show levelized hydrogen costs of USD 3.9-4.2 kg-1and system efficiencies of 58-60 %. Social benefits include rural access, green jobs, and industrial development, while challenges involve affordability, workforce capacity, and ethical supply chains.
