We propose a novel cryptographic scheme for secure UAV networks named ID-based Aggregate Signcryption with Re-encryption (IDASR). Our scheme is designed to enable a UAV to securely deliver messages from sensors to a base station in an aggregated and encrypted form. To this end, we integrate two distinct primitives, ID-based re-encryption and ID-based aggregate signcryption, at the UAV level. Our IDASR enhances security by eliminating the semi-trust assumption on the re-encrypting entity. Unlike existing schemes in which the entity performing re-encryption is assumed to be honest-but-curious, in IDASR the UAV performs aggregate re-encryption without any trust assumption. We establish provable security under the computational bilinear Diffie-Hellman (CBDH), modified bilinear Diffie-Hellman (MBDH), and computational Diffie-Hellman (CDH) assumptions in a new security model that captures collusion between the UAV and the base station. Although our IDASR primitive incorporates additional aggregation functionality, our performance analysis shows that it becomes increasingly efficient compared to existing primitives, such as ID-based signcryption, ID-based aggregate signcryption, and ID-based signcryption with re-encryption, as the number of participants grows. Specifically, for n = 50 participants, our scheme achieves 1.34 to 4.29 times lower computational cost in the DeReEnc operation than competing schemes.
