개성 만월대 活柱초석의 배치 특성과 구조적 기능 고찰

초록

This study investigates the arrangement characteristics of eave-supporting column stones identified at four building sites within the ManwoldaePalace and examines the range of structural functions implied by their placement. Based on differences in relative orientation and location,the Manwoldae examples can be classified into three types. Analysis of the arrangement characteristics of each type suggests that Type Bcolumn stones were most likely used for supporting Chu-nyeo, while Types A and C were employed to support dori in gable-roof buildings. Although Types A and C belong to the same functional category of dori supporting, they differ in terms of placement, angle, and spacing ofthe column stones. These differences indicate that, even among gable-roof buildings, Type A structures may correspond to jusimpo or daposystems, whereas Type C structures are more plausibly associated with xia-ang systems. In addition, the direction in which the eaves areemphasized differs between the two types, with Type A showing lateral emphasis and Type C exhibiting front–rear emphasis.
