경제와 사회의 조화를 위한 대안 ―1997년 외환위기 이후를 중심으로

초록

This study examines several discourses and alternatives to the prevailing neoliberal globalization in South Korea since the IMF’s bailout which are looking for some solutions for harmony between economy and society. Theories of democratic market economy, social economy, socio-economic publicity, cultural society, autonomous eco-community, and practices, movements or ideas of co-determination, Tobin-tax, people’s trade, fair trade, El Barzon, piqueteros etc. in various countries abroad are discussed more or less deeply. While the neoliberal policies try to create a shareholder capitalism, the theories or practices of democratic market economy, social economy, socio-economic publicity, co-determination, Tobin-tax, people’s trade, fair trade, El Barzon and piqueteros etc. are basically for a stakeholder capitalism. But the theories of cultural society and autonomous eco-community are trying to overcome both the market and the state from bottom up. Of course, the future is open.
