Unlike science fiction narratives that function as prophecy, the film operates as an ethical framework inviting sustained reflection on moral crises accompanying AI development, offering not prescriptive solutions but a space for ongoing deliberation about our responsibilities toward artificial beings. This article examines how the film's narrative of a mechanical boy’s quest for maternal love illuminates urgent questions in AI ethics by analyzing key sequences: the irreversible imprinting protocol, the Flesh Fair’s spectacular violence, and the posthuman archaeology of the advanced mechas.
