타공 (他空) 철학에 있어서 순환 논증과 역설 - 권위는 제시된 논증만큼만 유효하다 -

초록

It is essential to understand the context of individual tradition when reading classical texts. However, they tend to frustrate readers because the former does not give the specific answers that the latter wishes to know. Even if it were the case, I believe that individual does not need to refrain from casting critical questions. Gzhan stong is a good topic for understanding Tibetan Buddhism in that it is legitimized by fully utilizing such Buddhist philosophies as Tathāgatagarbha, Madhyamaka, Yogācāra, etc. Here, I point out circular reasoning and paradox in terms of definition, hermeneutics, and the relationship between canon and meditation that Tibetan gzhan stong scholars do not cast doubt upon. By raising the issues from a modern perspective, I attempt to make them into stepping-stones for my future study of gzhan stong.
