주요 사례를 중심으로 본 이슬람 프로젝트 파이낸스의 최근 현황과 활용 가능성

초록

We define the Islamic project finance and examine its theoretical properties and recent development. And finally, we present its possibility of future application and show some policy suggestion. We find that it is relatively easy to utilize Islamic project finance because it is quite similar with conventional project finance and that it has developed very rapidly since 2000 as GCC countries took many large construction and plant projects. Considering the facts that many Korean construction companies are participating with these projects and some of Korean financial institutions are trying to take new business in this region, we think it is very important to take advantage with Islamic finance.
