경음화와 관련된 동일 조음 위치의 연속된 두 자음의 발음에 대하여

On the pronunciation of the two successive consonants with the same place related to tensification in Korean.

초록

This paper aims to investigate, on dimension of phonetics, what actual pronunciation with respect to tensification is when two consonants with the same articulation place appear successively, and to attempt to interpret this phenomenon on dimension of phonology after seeing the general perceptional aspect through historical Korean language data. In the current standards, the pronunciation of two successive consonants with the same articulation place is defined with [C1┓C2*], but we can not prove the presence of C1 on phonetic dimension. In addition, we could know that this phenomenon is historical process of Korean phonology, in which two successive consonants(C1C2) with the same articulation place have changed into C2. Elimination of the preceding consonant in two successive consonants with the same articulation place is the universal phonological phenomenon, which could be interpreted through the Obligatory Contour Principle(OCP) theoretically.
