취약계층 유형에 따른 삶의 질 차이 연구: 주거취약요인을 중심으로

This study aims to examine differences in quality of life among vulnerable groups based on the intersection of income level and disability status, and to empirically investigate the moderating effect of housing vulnerability factors in this relationship. Previous studies on housing and welfare policies have primarily analyzed policy effects by categorizing either low-income groups or persons with disabilities as single criteria. However, such approaches have limitations in capturing the complexity of multiple vulnerabilities and the asymmetry of policy effects in real-life contexts. To address this issue, this study adopts a 2×2 intersectional framework combining income level (low vs. high) and disability status (with vs. without disability), and examines the conditional effects of housing vulnerability factors. The results indicate that quality of life significantly differs across groups in the following order: non-vulnerable group, high-income individuals with disabilities, low-income individuals without disabilities, and low-income individuals with disabilities. In addition, the impact of housing vulnerability factors on quality of life varies across groups. By extending previous studies that have treated housing factors primarily as mediators, this study empirically demonstrates that housing vulnerability factors function as conditional variables that moderate both the direction and magnitude of policy effects. Based on these findings, this study suggests that housing and welfare policies should move beyond uniform approaches based on single criteria, and instead adopt differentiated strategies that distinguish between quantitative housing stability policies based on income and qualitative housing improvement policies based on disability.
