Corporate Foresight Unleashed: Impacting Firm Performance in Dynamic Landscapes

OVERVIEW: This study investigates the impact of corporate foresight on firm performance under conditions of heightened uncertainty. Based on survey data from 258 firms, the results indicate that corporate foresight enhances performance by encouraging managers to explore new ideas, challenge existing assumptions, and proactively respond to emerging trends. The effect is most pronounced when markets and technologies change rapidly, suggesting that corporate foresight is particularly valuable when traditional planning is challenging. These findings underscore the importance of corporate foresight as a practical managerial process that shapes everyday decisions and innovation efforts.
