We performed a retrospective pooled analysis of 29 patients who had been diagnosed with fulminant type 1 diabetes in Korea and compared the results with 161 patients' data from a nationwide survey in Japan. Fulminant type 1 diabetic patients in Korea have a similar phenotype compared with Japanese patients. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
