초록

t is generally found to be true that the position of political thought has been continuously reduced as political science has become more scientific. Despite that, we cannot deny the necessity of the history of political thought while studying political science. The main purpose of this paper is to examine what kind of effort historians of political thought have contributed to Korean political science and whether that effort was enough. I explained what kind of effect and meaning the development of the history of political thought will have on the advancement of Korean political science. As discussed here, many challenges still remain in order for historians of political thought to contribute to the development of Korean political science. In order to efficiently meet these challenges and to achieve practical results, a realistic complement that can be resolved together must be created.
