晩唐 李商隱 詩와 ≪義山雜纂≫의 공통 주제 연구

This study examines the shared themes between the poetry of late Tang poet Li Shangyin李商隱 and Yishan Zazuan義山雜纂. Li Shangyin has generally been studied as a poet of political frustration, obscure symbolism, and refined emotional expression, whereas Yishan Zazuan has often been treated as a marginal collection of humorous sayings or miscellaneous notes. This paper begins from the premise that such a division obscures the broader unity of Li Shangyin’s literary world. Rather than regarding Yishan Zazuan as an isolated anomaly, this study approaches it as another literary field in which his perception of reality, human conduct, and social disorder is expressed. The paper first outlines the structure and characteristics of Yishan Zazuan, which consists of 470 items arranged under 44 headings. These brief entries reveal Li Shangyin’s keen observation of misplaced roles, broken propriety, social vanity, moral decline, and practical ethics. On this basis, the study compares Yishan Zazuan with Li Shangyin’s poems and analyzes three shared themes: the intersection of expectation and disappointment, the loss of meaning and value, and criticism of luxury and pleasure. Poems such as “Night Rain Sent North,” “Untitled,” “Jia Sheng,” “Shu Tong,” and “Song and Dance” are discussed alongside corresponding entries in Yishan Zazuan. Through this comparison, the study argues that Li Shangyin’s poetry and Yishan Zazuan, despite their differences in genre and style, share a consistent awareness of late Tang social disorder. His poetry deepens this awareness through symbols, allusions, and melancholy emotion, while Yishan Zazuan condenses it into witty and satirical observations of everyday life. In this sense, Yishan Zazuan should be understood as an important complement to Li Shangyin’s poetic world.
