일상 활동의 질이 심리학적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 고용 지위에 따른 차이를 중심으로
초록
The purpose of this study is to examine whether more fulfilling or non-routine daily work in both non-employed as well as employed status benefits psychological well-being. Telephone interviews were conducted with a national probability sample in 1995 and 2001. Survey items measured symptoms of depression and anxiety and assessed subjectively the qualities of primary daily work or activity of US adults. Education was found to have positive effects on the fulfilling or non-routine work quality in both employed and non-employed groups, confirming the work quality as a structural condition restricted by SES. The effect of fulfilling work in 1995 on depression in 2001 was significant only for those in non-employed status. Moreover, fulfilling work and non-routine work significantly reduced anxiety in both non-employed and employed groups. The findings underscore the importance of daily work quality on psychological well-being in non-employed individuals.
