제품범주별로 살펴본 중국의 지역간 무역장벽에 관한 연구

초록

Inter-regional trade is very important for economic development since it allows goods and elements to flow between different regions within a large country and achieve optimal allocation of resources. However, in China, inter-provincial trade has faced high barriers and serious segmentation of the domestic market. It remains a critical problem for regional economic development. Instead of calculating an overall price variance figure to measure inter-provincial trade barriers, this study measures them separately by agricultural goods, light-industry products and heavy-industry products. Using data from 2009 to 2013, the degree of inter-provincial trade barriers for the three categories are found to be quite different from the average in most of the twenty-eight regions studied. Also, the distributions of inter-provincial trade barriers across the country for agricultural goods, light-industry products and heavy-industry products exhibit unique distribution patterns.
